Our Founder | Our Order | Our Inspiration
The Society of Jesus, commonly known as the Jesuits, was founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius of Loyola and his companions. Inspired by a desire to serve Christ and the Church, they dedicated themselves to the mission of faith, justice, education, and service throughout the world.
Since its foundation the Order has grown from the original ten to more than 13,000 Jesuits worldwide today. READ MORE
