Ambata

In 1963, Jesuit priests recognized the dire need for development in Ambatha, a remote village 100 kilometers from Nashik city. The villagers, struggling with poverty and limited opportunities, would often travel to Nashik for work. To address this, the Jesuits embarked on a mission to transform Ambatha.

As part of the Society of Jesus, founded by Saint Ignatius in Spain, the Jesuits aim to educate and uplift communities worldwide. In India, they established renowned institutions like St. Xavier's College (Mumbai and Kolkata) and St. Aloysius College (Chennai), along with numerous schools across the country.

Jesuits extend their services beyond urban centers, focusing on marginalized rural and tribal areas. Their dedication has improved lives in these communities.

The society of Jesus is proud to continue this legacy, fostering a culture of excellence and service.

Our Organizational Goal are Empower individuals, families, and society through selfless service, promoting collective growth and development.

 Core Values

1. Education and empowerment

2. Selfless service

5. Social responsibility

By upholding these values, the Jesuits in Ambatha strive to create lasting positive change.
